PANOPTICON SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Your Pulp Science Fiction Work, Seen and Published

Entertain the reader.

That’s the main thing.

We are looking for 1,000-3,000 word science fiction stories that pry into the nature of privacy, truth, freedom, tyranny, and conspiracy - all wrapped up with action, suspense, and even horror.

Our preferred setting is one eerily close to now that uses today’s technology even when feels like science fiction. Your car being hacked, your refrigerator talking to the internet, or your Wi-Fi being used like x-ray vision - these are all great places to start. The drama of Deep Fakes is just beginning to unfold. Let your imagination, fears, and hopes run wild!

Thumb through our previous posts to get an idea of the types of stories we prefer to publish.

We like to think we have good taste, so please don’t waste our time with things that are tasteless.

Important note - ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO THE AUTHOR.

We only ask for non-exclusive printing rights. This means you give us the right to print your work in our anthologies and online as well as the right to promote your work!

Additionally, we may ask you if you’d like your short story to be produced as an audio drama to be featured on our podcast. You’re welcome to say no, but it costs you nothing and you’ll have a professional radio play to show for your work.

Panopticon is a meritocracy that prides itself on blind judgement.
